JESUS OUR JAIL-BREAKER

•    God sent Son to redeem us from law / slavery
•    Jesus shared our humanity so understands us AND can destroy the devil

A) POSSIBILITY

•    Christ has set us free, can be clothed with Him
•    people are God’s primary building project
•    body of Christ built up: Christ formed in you
•    serve others in love, rather than discord, dissensions, factions

B) PARENT

•    sons of God through faith in Christ
•    Spirit of His Son in us calls out “Abba, Father”

C) POSITION

•    prejudicial distinctives eliminated: ethnic, social, gender
•    role of women enhanced by Christianity

D) PRESENCE

•    by faith receive the promise of the Spirit
•    Spirit testifies with ours we are God’s children

E) POSSESSION

•    belong to Christ: heirs according to promise
•    inherit the kingdom; world/life/present/future all ours
