1) personal: informal address “Abba / Father” rather than distant
2) praise: appreciate God’s awesome character and attributes
3) perspective: Kingdom-focus not just our immediate microcosm
4) practical: depend on God for our daily needs - food, health, relationships
5) priorities: sins need forgiveness because block us from the Holy One
6) precondition: forgiving others necessary if we want grace not bitterness
7) protection: God tempts no one; provides a way out of temptation

A FRIEND IN NEED

•    midnight predicament enlists help not due to friendship but shameless boldness
•    ask audaciously, determinedly, like Abraham & Canaanite woman

GOOD FATHER, GOOD GIFTS

•    earthly parents know how to give good gifts: Heavenly Father, even more
•    God richly blesses those who call on Him – pull the bell-rope continuously
