on judgment
• self-love overshadowed when love God and neighbour

• wanting to justify ourselves – make me look good
• pastor stopping to help fix roof on a Sunday
afternoon
UNLIKELY HERO: NOT IQ BUT ‘DROPPABILITY QUOTIENT’
• Samaritans, Gentiles, and sinners all excluded from
consideration as ‘neighbour’
• demonstrates love languages - touch, time, talent,
tokens/treasure
• generous not ‘anal’; responsive, dropped everything
• what kind of person would you rather have in your
community?
• which person better reflects what God’s doing at
the cross?
• commanded to love each other as Jesus loved us:
messily
• Jesus dropped everything / made Himself nothing to
help us
GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF MY REWARD
• golf course worker returned found riches, trusting
God to take care of her
