SIDELINED IN THE RACE OF LIFE

•    cheering on even when time has taken its toll
•    run life’s race for the prize, throwing off sin that entangles

TIME THROUGH A BIBLICAL LENS

•    evolutionary bias erodes time’s value; world ends with a whimper
•    Bible sees time as linear, not circular
•    God sovereign over time, directing events for His purposes
•    time as opportunity / kairos not just hours and minutes (chronos)
•    eternity has already started for the Christian: Holy Spirit a deposit on what’s yet to come

A TIME FOR EVERYTHING - EVEN THE UNPLEASANT

•    can we trust God to be using even the negative happenings in our life?
•    commit our spirit/life to God, even from the cross

FIND THE GIFT AND BEAUTY IN THE EVERYDAY

•    beauty of God’s working not always readily apparent: our human view limited
•    be happy (rejoice in the Lord), do good
•    satisfaction in toil is God’s free gift

DON’T LET ETERNITY CATCH YOU UNAWARES

•    revere God in His sovereignty over time / events
•    upcoming judgment will provide just reward: Book of Life vs. lake of fire
•    don’t waste time or grace: watch for God’s opportunities
