THE WAY WE WERE

•    Biblical view CONTRAST to humanistic positivism
•    human depravity empirically VERIFIABLE (Muggeridge)
•    DEAD in transgressions and sins
•    3-fold foes: WORLD, FLESH, DEVIL
•    won’t inherit KINGDOM if live according to the flesh

WHO WE ARE (ALREADY)

•    saved by grace, not WORKS
•    positionally - already SEATED with Christ
•    practically - God’s WORKMANSHIP / demonstration model

WHO WE WILL BE

•    coming attractions: INCOMPARABLE riches of His grace

WHO WE ARE (BECOMING)

1) A people of faith, hope, and LOVE
2) people of the SPIRIT
3) We are a people who are coming to KNOW god increasingly
4) We are becoming God’s people COLLECTIVELY
5) We are becoming a people of POWER.
6) Although we’re a people of power, we’re also becoming a people under SUBMISSION
7) we are becoming people IMPLEMENTING Christ’s headship
