MAKING A RUN FOR IT

•    challenged to meet entry requirements for Canadian Forces
•    good intentions of training for race lacked follow-up
•    heart of marriage ceremony: vows / promises / commitments
•    Joshua committed himself and his household to serving the Lord

FOR BETTER OR WORSE

•    fights, stress, annoyance text commitment
•    beware “grass is always greener” temptation
•    cast anxiety on a God who cares for you
•    expect trouble to come: but Jesus has OVERcome

FOR RICHER OR POORER

•    lack of funds a stress when mundane needs pile up
•    divorce correlated with fighting about money
•    Paul to supporters: God able to supply all our needs
•    beware idolatry of money: need “just a little bit more”
•    not a matter of the amount, but the attitude

IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH

•    wearing when spouse faces medical challenges
•    challenges willingness to serve; humility; commitment
•    Jesus came among us as One who serves
•    our service to others as if we were serving Jesus
•    build house on solid foundation of Christ’s teaching
