DIVISION: THE SWORD OF LOVING JESUS

•    on mission to greet homes in peace, yet will still encounter opposition
•    exclusive demand for our affection hurls a sword, not peace
•    reality for Christian converts from Muslim background
•    “taking cross” not unfamiliar image for Jesus’ audience
•    earliest martyrs valued Jesus supremely, proved worthy
•    prefer 20 years’ prison to relinquishing Bible?

DISTRIBUTION: THE UPGRADE OF WELCOMING IN JESUS’ NAME

•    rewarded for welcoming prophet / righteous person / disciple
•    welcome Jesus in act of welcoming our Christian brother / sister
