“WHO’S THE IDIOT IN THE INCUBATOR?”

•    babies need to be bottle-fed, not the full-grown
•    blown back and forth when immature - can’t distinguish good from evil

WATCH OUT FOR THE WORLDLY

•    jealousy, quarreling, controlled by desires: signs of carnal people
•    church conflicts can be sparked by petty issues

1) SERVANTS UNDER SOVEREIGN CONTROL

•    Lord assigns the task, alone makes us grow
•    great privilege for little child to ‘help’ parent

2) DISCOVER AND APPLY YOUR UNIQUE GIFT

•    each should use their gift to serve others
•    even simple acts of kindness make a difference

3) BUILD CAREFULLY FOR LASTING REWARD

•    reward depends on whether fire discloses wood or precious metals
•    labour in the Lord not in vain; will reap harvest if don’t grow weary
•    beware strawy gospel of false teaching

4) STRATEGICALLY CO-ORDINATE FOR OVERALL IMPACT

•    apostles modelled flexibility and respect in working as a team

SLACKING OFF ON THE SHOP FLOOR

•    car manufacturing demonstrates all workers needed for a satisfactory outcome
•    shoddy workmanship dishonours maker’s name / reputation
