o      3) God put our sin on His Son and punished it there (2Cor 5:21; Mk 15:34; Rom 8:1)

3. The DEPTH of the cross: deep enough to change you

o      Princess chose to show affection to son despite deadly consequences

4. The HEIGHT of the cross: high enough to lift you

o      Startling to see Jesus lifted high – even in re-enactment

o      A ‘ladder unto heaven’

Reach Out and Rely on the Reservoir

o      Son’s atoning sacrifice shows God’s love, brings us life (1Jn 4:9f, 16)

o      God’s love has “extravagant dimensions (Eph 3:17-19 MSG)
